Can you hack & squirt sweet gum trees with round up ?

Roundup rarely kills sweetgum trees.  A blend that does work well is 50% Garlon 3A, 40% water, and 10% Arsenal AC.  Using the generics of these brands works fine!
The hack and squirt method works best from about mid July through when the first sweetgum leaves are starting to change colors.
