Do you allow hunters to appear on your show who do not use ear protection? I watched Trace and Seth Hacker deer hunting. It appeared neither were wearing hearing protection and I was appalled that a father would endanger the future hearing of his son just to be on your show. I am 73 and have lost hearing due to not wearing hearing protection. I have two grandsons and will never let them fire a firearm without hearing protection.

Please let me know about you police on hearing protection. You have a wonderful platform to inform, to educate, and to save the hearing of our future hunters.

I do encourage all hunters (on my show and otherwise) to wear proper hearing protection. However, I don’t “police” them. I have constant ringing in my ears due to shooting competitively for years without wearing hearing protection. I agree with your concerns but believe there are enough regulations. I believe education is much more powerful than legislation.
