Fawn with visible antlers??
Filed under: Ask Grant, Deer Biology
Have you ever seen a spotted fawn with visible horns broken through the hairline before? Do you see this often? I have two pictures of a fawn that is a triplet the mother had. I have never seen one this young with the horns broken through the hairline already. Jay Question
Jay,
I’ve never seen a fawn that young with visible antlers in captivity or in the wild. That’s certainly an oddity. I’d be interested if you get images of that fawn as he matures this fall.
