Congratulations for tagging a nice buck with a handgun!  

We started testing and comparing many of the available grunt calls during the summer of 2015.  We compared their tone and rhythm to recordings of bucks we’d videoed.  None of the calls seemed to replicate the tone and rhythm.  

We then started working with Hooks’ Custom Calls (http://www.hookscalls.com/) in hopes they could custom build calls for our Team that produced the tone and rhythm we were seeking.  This turned out to be much more difficult than I expected.  After literally dozens of attempts I was happy with the tone and rhythm of a call they hand made.  That’s the call you’ve seen my Team and me using this fall. We’ve literally tagged more bucks due to grunting this fall than during any other year!  

Hopefully Hook’s will make that call available to the public during 2016.
