What size binos do you prefer?

What’s your thought on size of binoculars? I’m trying to decide 8×42 or 10×42. Probably a Nikon Monarch.

I prefer 10×42 binoculars.  I like the added magnification as I enjoy seeing more detail of critters.  They are a tag larger and heavier but I think the trade-off of seeing more detail is worth the larger size.  I use Nikon Monarchs – they are great binoculars!
