When should a muzzle loaded rifle be unloaded after end of Blackpowder season?

Most of the powders are corrosive. I like to unload (not just remove the primer) muzzleloaders within a few days of being loaded. I often carefully remove the breach and simply remove the powder without firing the weapon.
