This year we spent lots of time comparing many different brands/models of grunt calls.  Adam, my interns and I would listen to them at 50, 100, 150, and 200 yards in different settings.  We weren’t pleased with any of them.  The tone, rhythm, and/or volume was off compared to the many recordings of actual buck grunts.  

We asked Hook’s Custom calls to build a grunt call based on various recordings of bucks.  We has very specific tone, rhythm, and/or volume requirements.  After several prototypes I’m very happy with the call the produced. In fact, a hit list buck responded to the Hook’s call yesterday and I shot him at 20 yards!
